TECHNOLOGY ACCREDITATION


a. Registration and appointment by the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment to carry out the duties of a Notified Body within the context of EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC with regard to Annex IV, among other things: 

  • Hanging scaffold
  • Vehicle lift
  • Hydraulic scaffold (mason’s scaffold)
  • Lifting table
  • Moveable Elevating Work Platform (MEWP)
  • Moveable Cabin / control station
  • Vehicle loader / lifting tailboard
  • Tower crane operator lift
  • Mechanical (fire brigade) ladder on a vehicle
  • Operator lift on a pile driving machine

Area of application: European Union.

b. Appointment by the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment to carry out the 2-yearly thorough examination and test of cranes that can lift a maximum load of 2 tons or more and with an overturning moment of 10 ton-metres or more in accordance with Article 6d of the Commodities Act Decree on Machines.

Area of application: The Netherlands.

c. Qualifications as "ermächtigte Sachverständige" to carry out the mandatory 4-yearly (yearly after 12 years of age of the crane) thorough examination and test of mobile and tower cranes in Germany.

Area of application: Germany.

d. Registration and appointment by the Board of Experts for Rhine Navigation in the Netherlands to carry out inspections and examinations and tests as referred to in the Regulations for the Inspection of Rhine Vessels 1995 (ROSR, Bulletin of Acts and Decrees Article 11.12.6).   

Area of application: Rhine riparian states and Belgium.

e. Acceptance by the Dutch National Executive for Road transport (RDW) to carry out the certification of vehicle lifts.

Area of application: The Netherlands.

f. Registration and appointment by the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment as a Notified Body to carry out final checks on lifts and the inspection for the unit verification in accordance with Annex V and VIII respectively of EU Directive 2014/33/EU and Article 8 of the Commodities Act Decree on Lifts.

Area of application: European Union.

g. Appointment by the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment as an Appointed Body competent to carry out thorough examination and tests on lifts being commissioned as well as periodic thorough examinations in accordance with Article 18 of the Commodities Act Decree on Lifts. 

Area of application: The Netherlands.

h. Appointment by the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment as an Appointed Body competent to carry out thorough examination and tests on hoisting and lifting equipment of persons in accordance with Article 6.fa of the Commodities Act Decree on Machinery.

Area of application: The Netherlands.

i. Registration and appointment by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment as a Notified Body to carry out surveillance on noise emissions of outdoor equipment including, for instance, earthmoving equipment, mobile cranes, road construction machinery and generator sets, all in accordance with EU Directive 2000/14/EC.  

Area of application: European Union.

j. Acknowledgement by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment to carry out of noise emission measurements for the Regulations on Random Write-Offs for Environmental Investments (VAMIL) of, among other things:

  • Well-pointing pumps
  • Wood shredders
  • Fork-lift trucks
  • Mobile cranes.

Area of application: The Netherlands.

k. Accreditation by the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA) according to the European standard ISO/IEC 17020-2012, Type A and EA 2/17 (independent inspection bodies), with regard to:

  • Hoisting equipment
  • Equipment for lifting of persons
  • Equipment for lifting of goods
  • Drilling and foundation equipment
  • Suspended baskets
  • Salvaging equipment
  • EU-type examination within the context of the Machinery Directive (see a.)
  • EU unit verification and final inspection within the context of the Lifts Directive 95/16/EC (see f.)
  • Noise emission measurements according to EU Directive 2000/14/EC, "Noise Emission in the Environment by Equipment for Use Outdoors".
